Process
The degree to which candidates exhibit individual competency is assessed by combining information from four different approaches along with the observations of a number of assessors. The approaches are:
- Direct observation of candidate's behavior during various job simulation exercises
- Assessment of candidate's attributes during structured interview.
- Evaluation of candidate’s analytical and problem solving abilities
- Psychometric mapping
Final assessment of candidates
Once all the exercises had been completed, the assessors discussed their assessments on the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate together with their abilities and skills that would match the job requirements. After analysis of the assessors' observation (behaviour, group discussion, problem solving abilities and psychometric test analysis), they arrived at a consensus decision on the rank order of the candidates. The combined results were handed over to gpit management.
